BACOLOD City – Police arrested a carnapping suspect at Bredco Port in Barangay 2.
The 25-year-old Reynald Opiar of Barangay E. Lopez, Silay City, Negros Occidental was nabbed on a police “hot pursuit” operation around 5 a.m. on June 11.
Opiar allegedly stole a 10-wheeler truck owned by Ariel Oropel on Tuesday morning.
Officers of the Silay City police station and Negros Occidental Provincial Police Office Highway Patrol Group recovered the vehicle at the suspect’s residence.
Opiar was detained in the lockup cell of Police Station 2./PN
