ANTIQUE – A 41-year-old man was punched and shot in Barangay Ilauod, Bugasong town.
The victim identified as Roldan Gabayeron, 41, and a resident of the said place, was lying down in his top-down tricycle on Monday night, July 29, when barangay tanod Joemarie Francisco suddenly punched him multiple times.
Prudencio Ungsod then shot the victim, according to Staff Sergeant Kerby Aguilar, investigator of the Bugasong Municipal Police Station (MPS).
The victim sustained a gunshot wound on his chest. He was recuperating at Angel Salazar Memorial General Hospital in San Jose.
The suspects, meanwhile, were immediately arrested after the incident. They were detained at the Bugasong MPS for proper disposition.
