ILOILO City – A farmer survived a gunshot wound inflicted by a cousin who attacked him in Barangay Balibagan Oeste, Sta. Barbara, Iloilo.
Francisco Ferrer, 51, of said place sustained a gunshot wound on the back of his body and is now confined at the Western Visayas Medical Center in Mandurriao district here.
Tagged as the suspect was his cousin Richard Lozada who fled after the incident on Sunday.
According to a witness who requested anonymity, Lozada and Ferrer were drinking together with friends when a misunderstanding erupted between them, ending in the shooting incident.
Police personnel of Santa Barbara are now conducting a hot pursuit operation to arrest Lozada./PN
