ILOILO City – A man was shot dead by his friend in Barangay Maribong, Lambunao, Iloilo.
The 36-year-old Gilbert Lavente died of gunshot wounds on the body, a police report showed.
The incident happened around 5 p.m. on March 8.
According to police investigation, Lavente and Jethro Palma figured in a heated argument that ended with Palma shooting his friend using a 12-gauge shotgun on the right foot and neck.
It was not immediately established what triggered the altercation.
Officers of the Lambunao police station conducted a manhunt operation against the suspect, who fled after the incident./PN
