ANTIQUE – A 42-year-old man was shot dead by motorcycle-riding gunmen around 8:20 p.m. on Sunday, June 9, in Barangay Igbalangao, Bugasong town.
Benjie Gallego, a resident of the town’s Barangay Bagtason, sustained a gunshot wound on his stomach.
Bugasong police said he was declared dead on arrival at a hospital.
Police Captain Eunicka Joy Porras, officer-in-charge of the Bugasong Municipal Police Station (MPS), said the victim was driving his tricycle, with his wife and son as passengers, on their way home when the incident happened.
A motorcycle overtook them and the gunmen shot the victim, Porras added.
Bugasong police were still investigating the incident to identify the gunmen and determine the motive of the killing./PN
