AKLAN – A man was declared dead on arrival at a hospital after he sustained fatal gunshot wounds in a shooting incident in Barangay Kinalangay Nuevo, Malinao town.
According to Malinao police, the 38-year-old Darius Zaspa, a resident of the village, went out to buy something from a store owned by the sibling of the suspect identified as Ricky Rapiz on Thursday night, June 13.
When the victim was about to return home, he was suddenly shot multiple times by the suspect for no apparent reason, police said.
The victim sustained a gunshot wound on his head and other parts of the body.
Rapiz fled towards the town’s Barangay Rosario after the incident. Malinao police’s manhunt operation against the suspect was ongoing as of this writing./PN
