ROXAS City – A 48-year-old man was shot by two assailants on a motorcycle in Barangay Sta. Cruz, Dumalag, Capiz.
The attack occurred at approximately 8:45 p.m. on Tuesday as the victim, identified only as alias “Jonel”, was returning to his house.
According to the Dumalag Municipal Police Station, the attackers fired four shots at “Jonel”, leaving him with injuries to his ankle.
Authorities recovered four .45 caliber bullet casings at the scene.
The suspects, described as wearing bonnets, black jackets, and denim pants, fled the area immediately after the shooting on a black and blue Honda TMX 125 motorcycle.
The victim was promptly transported to Dao District Hospital for medical treatment.
Police are continuing their investigation but have not yet identified the perpetrators./PN
