ILOILO City – A man was shot inside their compound in Zone 3, Barangay Boulevard, Molo district around 7:15 a.m. yesterday.
Ricardo Roquero, 65, sustained a gunshot wound on his chest from a .38 Super firearm. He is now recuperating at the Iloilo Doctors’ Hospital.
Police identified the suspect as Roquero’s brother-in-law, Nestor Clarito.
According to barangay kagawad John Espia, there was a misunderstanding between the victim and the suspect before the incident.
Jessica, the victim’s 69-year-old sister, said, “Nagbaisay ini sila sang akon manghod kay wala ni mapakaon ang baboy namon tapos ginhambalan ‘ya akon manghod nga pabay-an lang siya.”
As of this writing, Molo police are still conducting a manhunt operation against the suspect, who fled after the incident./PN
