ILOILO City – A 42-year-old laborer was stabbed to death in Barangay Cabilauan, New Lucena, Iloilo.
Robert Aspabo died of five stab wounds on April 9.
The suspect was Asapabo’s friend Reniel Carisma of Barangay Aglanoc, Calinog, Iloilo.
The stabbing happened around 12:30 a.m. at the house of their common friend Efren Padulla. They had a drinking binge there.
Police said Aspabo and Carisma had a heated argument prior to the stabbing.
With wounds on the chest, abdomen and hands, Asapabo was taken to the Western Visayas Sanitarium in Santa Barbara town. He died there.
Carisma was arrested and detained at the New Lucena police station./PN
