BACOLOD City – A 20-year-old man was found dead in Silay City’s Antonio Luna interior in Barangay Mambulac, late Friday night.
Police identified the fatality as Steven Placido, a resident of Loney 1 in the said barangay.
According to the Silay City police, Placido sustained a stab wound on his armpit and he also had a slash wound in his neck.
Placido’s younger sister, April Mae Abalayan, said his elder brother went home on Friday night to get his jacket.
Thirty minutes later, Abalayan said they were informed by neighbors that Steven had been stabbed.
Following the incident, Abalayan told the police that Steven’s death may have been a case of mistaken identity, pointing out the jacket worn by Steven on the night he was murdered was also worn by his twin brother Stephen.
Abalayan claimed that a certain Gerald had a serious confrontation with Stephen.
“Bale ang isa ko ka magulang [Stephen] amo na siya ang may atraso sa nagbuno,” she claimed.
Police are still continuing their investigation to the incident./PN
