BACOLOD City – A 28-year-old man was stabbed to death in SitioAbkasa, BarangayMandalagan.
Ariel Piad, a resident of the village, died of stab wounds on the head, chest, stomach, and body.
He was rushed to the Our Lady of Mercy Specialty Hospitalon Thursdaybut was declared “deadonarrival.”
Ramie Gomez, 37 of Barangay Zone 3, Talisay City, Negros Occidental, attacked Piad with a pair of scissors, police said.
Piad was bound for home around 3:30 a.m. after a drinking spree with Gomez when the incident happened, police investigation showed.
Gomez escaped after the stabbing but surrendered to the police around 12:50 p.m. of the same day./PN
