BACOLOD City – A man was stabbed to death around 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 18 in Barangay Camang-camang, Isabela, Negros Occidental.
Aldrin Abelido, 29, and a resident of the said place, sustained multiple stab wounds. He was pronounced dead on arrival at the Ignacio Lacson Arroyo Memorial District Hospital by attending physician Dr. Aurora Gayatao.
Isabela police said the suspect, Ricky Sanao, 49, of the town’s Barangay Tinongan, fled after the incident, but he was later arrested during the manhunt operation.
Investigations revealed that the victim and the suspect had a heated argument. Thereafter, Abelido was chased by Sanao, who was armed with a bladed weapon.
Police added that Abelido hid in the bushes but was caught and stabbed by the suspect.
