ILOILO – A 38-year-old hollow block maker was stabbed to death in Barangay Ungka I, Pavia. The suspect was his co-worker.
Police identified the victim as “Noel” of Barangay Capoyuan, Barbaza, Antique. He died on the spot due to five stab wounds on his stomach, chest and back.
Suspect “Rudy”, 52, of Barangay Banguit, Cabatuan, Iloilo is currently held at the Pavia Municipal Police Station (MPS).
The two were in a drinking session at about 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 7, when a heated argument ensued.
Police Staff Sergeant Arnel Escriba of Pavia MPS said the suspect reprimanded the victim because of the latter’s behavior when drunk.
Pavia police recovered a 12-inch knife allegedly used against Noel.
Rudy will face charges of murder and violation of the Commission on Elections gun ban./PN
