ILOILO City – A gasoline station in Brgy. Tabucan, Mandurriao district was ransacked.
Sea Oil guard John Paul Arano of Brgy. Matangharon, Dingle, Iloilo town discovered the window-type air-conditioning unit of the gas station already removed and the cash register machine open, around 6 a.m. yesterday.
A total of P50,000 cash was missing from the cash register.
Police said the robbers entered the gas station office through the wall cavity where the air-conditioning unit was mounted.
Arano was the guard on duty at the time of the robbery. But he said he was then sleeping inside a car parked some 10 meters away from the gas station office.
Iloilo City police director, Senior Supt. Ruperto Floro ordered the Mandurriao police station to conduct an investigation./PN
