BACOLOD City – Police arrested a man in a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay Poblacion, Manjuyod, Negros Oriental.
Senior Inspector Vann Joel Tingson, municipal police head, identified the man as the 30-year-old Cliff Askin “Dukin” Yap of Barangay San Jose, Manjuyod.
Yap was arrested after he sold shabu to a poseur-buyer for P600 around 11:30 p.m. on Sunday.
Manjuyod police station and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency staged the operation.
Recovered from Yap’s possession were a Nokia cellphone, P600 cash and a Honda XRM motorcycle, police said.
Yap was detained at the Manjuyod police station lockup facility and facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
