ACTRESS Marian Rivera described her heart as happy and peaceful when asked about her renewed friendship with fellow actress Heart Evangelista. Marian was all smiles as she talked to the press during her launch as the endorser of a beauty product, on Wednesday, Nov. 15.

“My heart is happy tapos nando’n ako sa peaceful na finally, everything, alam mo ‘yun, [happened] in God’s perfect time. Siguro kung anuman ‘yung mga pinag-uusapan namin behind, siguro i-balato niyo na lang sa’min ‘yun kasi it’s too personal for us. So, nakakatuwa na may mga conversations kami na hanggang ngayon, may communication kami. God is good,” she began. The two reportedly had a rift back in 2011.

In a previous interview at an event, Heart addressed her relationship with Marian, expressing appreciation for her very strong character and kindness. She also said, “Real queens support each other.”

When Marian was asked about this, she said, “Parang sa buhay natin ngayon, parang mas masarap na peaceful ka at masaya ka araw-araw na wala kang iniiwasan. And, sabi ko nga, mabait talaga ang Diyos, ibibigay niya talaga sa’yo ‘yung makakabuti para sa’yo.”

Basta super happy ako and peaceful,” she added.

When asked about a possible collaboration between the two of them, Marian jokingly answered, “Collab? Parang parehas yata kaming hindi na natutulog,” given their busy schedules. “Pero in time, for sure, magkikita kami niyan in time,” she said, adding that there will be many opportunities for them to meet in the future.

Is she open to doing a project with Heart if given the chance? “Why not? Oo naman, sure.”

Marian also expressed her gratitude for the people around them, especially Heart’s sister Camille whose daughter Isabella goes to the same school as her son Sixto. “Oo naman, of course, of course. Especially sa kapatid niya kasi magkasama kami sa school eh,” she said.

Meanwhile, as Christmas Day draws near, Marian, who has a film entry to this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival, was asked for her plans this Holiday season. She replied, “Wala kaming bakasyon kasi may [MMFF] parade kami and at the same time, sa [December] 25, mag-iikot kami sa lahat ng cinemas na nanood ng ‘Rewind’ so magtu-tour kami.”

Produced by Star Cinema, APT Entertainment Inc., and Agosto Dos Pictures, “Rewind” stars Marian and her husband, actor Dingdong Dantes, and is directed by Mae Cruz-Alviar.

How does she feel that her film became part of this year’s MMFF alongside other star-studded movie entries?

Reacting to the positive feedback that her acting in movie teaser has been receiving, Marian lightheartedly said, “Basta ako, ginawa ko ‘yung best ko rito at naniniwala ako sa ganda ng pelikula. (PUSH)
