MARIO Maurer’s camp issued a demand letter against Kakai Bautista for the alleged unauthorized use of the Thai heartthrob’s name in numerous instances including TV interviews.
Kakai – who had developed a friendship with Mario after filming “Suddenly It’s Magic” in 2012 – received a demand letter through her agency, Artist Gallery Management on March 22.
The demand letter came after Kwaonhar Nine-Nine Co. Ltd. was informed that Kakai continues to attach herself to Mario, his management team in Thailand, and authorized representatives in the Philippines.
“Upon consultation with our client, we would like to confirm that all statements and claims made by Catherine ‘Kakai Bautista’ regarding her claims of proximity to Mario Maurer are hereby DENIED as false and untrue,” parts of the letter read.
Mario’s camp demanded that Kakai should refrain from using the name of Mario or referencing him directly or indirectly as well as confirm in writing within three working days that she has complied and/or willing to comply with the foregoing demand.
The letter also stated that should Kakai fail to comply, the camp representing Mario has “all legitimate right to claim for other damages and expenses incurred as a result of this matter.”(Push)
