ROXAS City – Weighing scales at the city government-run Teodoro Arcenas Trade Center (TATC) were inspected recently for accuracy in a bid to protect consumers from being cheated by unscrupulous market vendors.

TATC marker administrator Heloise Mendoza led the inspection upon the orders of Mayor Ronnie Dadivas.

“Indi naton gusto nga magpadayon ini nga istilo sang pagdinaya sa pagbaligya,” said Dadivas.

A total of 62 weighing scales were discovered to be “defective” or needed recalibration.

Most of these were from fish section of TATC.

“Ginapanugyan sa tanan nga manugbaligya nga mangin tampad sa ila mga customers bangud sila pareho man ninyo nga nagabakas sa pangabuhi,” said Dadivas.

Some market-goers complained about the inaccurate weighing of their purchases, resulting to them paying more.

Dadivas said cheating at the TATC must end. He urged vendors to be honest with their customers.

“Siguruhon ang integridad sa inyo trabaho kag may respeto sa isigkatawo agud padayon ang matalunsay nga pagnegosyo sa aton merkado publiko,” he stressed./PN
