MATTEO Guidicelli has joined the Philippine Army, the actor shared in an Instagram post on Monday.
The former “Bagani” star posted photos of a ceremony where he appears to be taking an oath.
In the caption, he wrote: “I officially joined the Philippine Army today because I love my country. I would like to thank the people that have been very supportive. Exciting times ahead.”
Guidicelli, 29, tagged ARESCOM, or Army Reserve Command.
He went on to quote MGen Bernie Langub, commander of ARESCOM: “The rank is emplaced near their heart because it means only those who have the heart to serve will be fit to wear the uniform. It is beyond the uniform, it is all about willingness to serve the country and being prepared for any eventuality.”
Prior to his entry as Army reservist, Guidicelli also joined the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary in March alongside celebrities Erwan Heussaff and Nico Bolzico. (ABS-CBN News)
