BACOLOD City — The Inter-media Fellowship Bowling Tournament will be held at the Super Bowling Lanes, Goldenfield Commercial Complex here today.
Initiated by the Negros Press Club (NPC) headed by Carla Cañet, the event will be participated by all media outlets in Bacolod City and Negros Occidental.
Cañet said at least 10 teams are expected to participate.
The Top 4 teams and individual winners will get P20,000 worth of gift certificates.
Individual winners will be in highest pinning, single and triple in the men and women’s division. Highest team single and triple record markers will also be awarded.
Expected to field their respective teams in the three-game series are NPC officers, NPC Past Presidents, Negros Daily Bulletin, Visayan Daily Star, Sun.Star Bacolod, Watchmen Daily Journal, GMA TV 10, ABS-CBN, Bombo Radyo, dyHB, dyEZ, Radyo Veritas, RPN–dyKB, Kapisanan ng mga Broadcaster ng Pilipinas, Kapawa News and Panay News, among others.
The champion will receive P6,000, while the first runner-up will get P4,000. Second and third runners-up will bring home P3,000 and P2,000, respectively.
The championship trophy will be given by Vice Mayor Greg Gasataya.
Winners in the individual highest pinning, single and triple in the men’s and women’s category will receive P200 each, while at stake in team single and triple markers is P500 each.
The top bowlers in the two categories will also receive a cash award.
Games will start after the 1:30 p.m. registration of teams and meeting of team captains and managers.
No registration or alley fees will be collected from the participating teams, as the tournament is sponsored by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp., Vallacar Transit, Inc., Coca-Cola Bottlers Phils. Inc., and Jollibee Foods Corp./PN
