ILOILO – With the aim to give income opportunity to small and medium enterprises as well as showcase their local products, “Mercado Tienda” was launched in the 2nd District.
It will run until April 9 in Bucari Pine Forest and Campsite in Barangay Bucari, Leon town.
Cong. Michael Gorriceta of the 2nd District and his wife, Dr. Kathy Fermin-Gorriceta, organized the said activity, together with the Association of LGBTQIA+ Segundo Distrito, with the tagline “One town, one district and one product.”
“Ang walo ka mga banwa nga may small and medium enterprises gin-organize namon into one nga mabuligan sila through the initiative of LGBTQIA+. Sila ang nag-spearhead sa bilog nga 2nd District,” said Ramie D. Corillo, political affairs officer III of Gorriceta.
Mercado Tienda’s next stops will be the towns that are celebrating fiestas and festivals such as Leganes this April, and Pavia and Zarraga in May.
“With that, ang ginatan-aw man ni Cong. Mike nga maka-generate man income ang LGBTQIA+ for the economic sustainability sang organization nila because that is one component nga sa diin mangin self-reliant ang organization,” Corillo added.
