ILOILO City – He was listed as the No. 7 most wanted person in the municipal police station of Miag-ao, Iloilo.
The 36-year-old Joven Falip was arrested in Barangay Corazon, Bansud, Oriental Mindoro around 11:15 a. m. on June 4, a police report showed.
Falip – resident of Barangay Diday, Miag-ao – was hiding from authorities for about nine years.
His apprehension was staged on the strength of an arrest warrant issued by Judge Nelson Bartolome of the Regional Trial Court Branch 67 in Guimbal, Iloilo.
He allegedly violated Republic Act 7610, or the Special Protection of Children against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act, the warrant stated.
The suspect was detained in the lockup cell of the Bansud police station
A P200,000 bail bond was recommended for his temporary liberty./PN
