NEWLY-CROWNED beauty queen Michelle Dee shared how excited she is to compete in the upcoming Miss Universe 2023 competition, which will happen later this year in El Salvador.
In her latest Instagram post, the Miss Universe Philippines (MUPH) titleholder looked back on her pageant journey and thanked everyone who supported her along the way.
Michelle shared the phrase she kept on repeating to herself when she was still a candidate for the crown: “It’s not done until it’s won.”
The 28-year-old beauty queen admitted how difficult the journey was for her each year since she first started joining MUPH.
Michelle previously joined MUPH in its previous editions but could not secure the highly-coveted crown.
She then expressed her gratitude towards the people who supported her beauty pageant journey. She humbly added that she didn’t win the crown alone since there were people who believed in her and helped her turn her “dreams into reality.”
The beauty queen vowed that she will continue to work much harder now as her win in MUPH was only the beginning of a bigger goal. Michelle confidently announced that she would “do whatever it takes” to bring home the crown.
“The next chapter of my pageant journey is no longer my own. It’s for each Filipino that I will be representing in El Salvador. Knowing this doesn’t just inspire me. It pushes me to work even harder and to dream bigger. It pushes me to do whatever it takes to bring home the Miss Universe crown to the Philippines,” she remarked. (PUSH)
