AFTER graduating from high school at The Beacon Academy in Biñan, Laguna last month, Miel Pangilinan, the youngest daughter of Sharon Cuneta and former senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan, has now set her eyes on going abroad.
The news was shared by her mom Sharon during the contract signing of their newest mother and daughter endorsement for a local life insurance company. During the event, the Megastar revealed how proud she was that Miel got accepted into her dream school in New York and even received a merit scholarship.
In an interview with the Daily Tribune, the 18-year-old student and younger sister to Frankie Pangilinan also revealed that she has decided to be taking a gap year before starting her college journey.
“I will work as an assistant manager to a few artist friends. I’ll just follow them around and accompany them. I’ll also be working on my art, and I’ll be accompanying Frankie to New York for a few months, but most of it is also to be able to have some time for myself.”
Miel further explained, “I was a freshman when the pandemic started. I entered the lockdown at 15 and exited it turning 18. I felt like I missed so much of my life. The gap year is an opportunity for me to explore the world on my own.
Last year, Miel decided to officially come out as a member of the LGBTQ community where she celebrated her first pride month as proudly and openly queer. (PUSH)
