MIN Bernardo, mother of Kathryn Bernardo, asked for supporters of KathNiel to stop believing in malicious rumors involving her daughter and her beau of five years, Daniel Padilla.
This, after a fan told Min about the allegations saying Kathryn and Daniel have recently broken up due to the pressure being put on the actor by the Bernardos.
“Di nyo po ba nabasa yun isang dyaryo headline po doon na nasasakal na daw po Daniel sa inyo mag ina daw. Sana hindi sa inyo nauunang manggaling yun pakilig pictures ng Kathniel dahil nagmumukha daw pong si Kathryn at pamilya Bernardo ang naghahabol at gustong gusto si Daniel at samantalang si [Daniel] at pamilya nya lalo sina Karla at Ana ay ayaw na at napipilitan na lang makisama sa inyo gawa ng fans at ilan proyekto kailangang magkasama pa Kathniel,” an excerpt of the fan’s Instagram statement read.
Touching on KathNiel’s “unfollow” controversy early in February, the netizen went on to state that many of their supporters weren’t convinced that it was nothing but a careless mistake – as Kathryn previously explained – especially after Daniel didn’t show up to the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP)’s Film Ambassador’s Night to accept their award for their blockbuster film “The Hows of Us.”
“Doon po sa huling interview ni Kathryn tungkol sa napindot lang nya un ‘block’ ay madaming di naniniwala. At yun di nya pag attend ng awards night pero ang totoo kasama lang daw nya mga kabarkada nya sa Tagaytay. Sana po wag niyo hayaan pala si Kath lang nagsasalita para pagtakpan sina Daniel.”
But for Mommy Min, there is zero truth to these rumors.
“Sana lang huwag tayong padala at maniwala sa lahat ng nababasa at nadidinig natin. Diff opinions and diff beliefs, na pag pinagsama sama nakakasira ng ulo. Kung mahal mo si Kath or DJ, sana lang magtiwala kayo sa kanila,” she replied, then telling rumormongers to please take it easy on them.
“Hindi naming kailangan na lahat ng bato ay sinasabi ng bawat tao ay sagutin o patulan namin…. Maawa naman kayo sa amin… sorry, but we need privacy din sa aming personal life, ok!” (Push)
