ILOILO – A man was arrested in a raid in Barangay Nasirum, Mina town for possessing an unlicensed firearm.
Alias “Lando” was caught by officers of the Mina Municipal Police Station through the strength of a search warrant around 6 a.m. on Saturday, May 18.
The search warrant was issued by Hon. Vicente V. Go, presiding judge of the Regional Trial Court – Branch 68 in Dumangas, Iloilo for violation of Republic Act (RA) 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
Police seized one unit of 12-gauge homemade shotgun, two pieces of live ammunition for 12-gauge shotgun, and a black holster.
The suspect was detained at the Mina Municipal Police Station for proper disposition./PN
