BACOLOD City – A 17-year-old and three others were arrested for allegedly stealing car batteries in Barangay Don Jorge L. Araneta, Bago City, Negros Occidental at around 1 a.m. on Jan. 17.
Aside from the minor, whose name was withheld by authorities, the other suspects were Larry Perez, 22; Melvin Roquero, 37; and Aries Roquero, 19.
Security guard Jenel Ambahan reported to the police that he noticed the batteries of two Isuzu tanker trucks parked in the repair shop’s compound were missing.
Ambahan conducted a search in the area, and he recovered a Motolite LM enforcer with 17 plates already on the ground underneath another tanker truck.
The local police launched a hot pursuit operation. Two car batteries and a motorcycle were recovered from the suspects.
