IN A DAZZLING quest as part of the Dinagyang Festival, Miss Iloilo 2025 lit up the stage on January 11, 2025 at West Visayas State University Cultural Center in La Paz, Iloilo City. This annual celebration of elegance and advocacy showcased the beauty, talent and purpose of Ilongga women.
Karen Nicole Piccio of Maasin, Iloilo emerged victorious and was declared Miss Iloilo 2025. She was crowned by outgoing Miss Iloilo 2024 Alexie Mae Brooks, the reigning Miss Philippines-Eco International.
Piccioâs stunning performance was highlighted by several special awards, including Miss SM City Iloilo, Best in Introduction Video, Best in Advocacy and Tourism Video, Best Runway Model, and Best in Closed-Door Interview. She also shared the Best in Gastronomy Costume award with Elaine Segura of Guimbal and Teshia Kaye Palomo of Poblacion Ilaud, San Enrique.
A seasoned pageant competitor, Piccio previously won Miss Philippines Eco-Tourism 2019 and placed first runner-up in the 2023 Miss Manila: Woman of Wonder. Her experience and dedication to advocacy shone throughout the evening.
Joining her in the spotlight were Heartfelt Queens Elaine Segura and Rhea Marissa Puyong of Passi City. Segura bagged the Best in Evening Gown award while the Best in Swimsuit was Palomo.
The Miss Iloilo pageant, mounted by Beverly Rosales and Sarah Peña of the Iloilo Festivals Foundation Inc. (IFFI), transcends traditional beauty contests, celebrating Ilonggo womenâs dedication to community and culture.
