THE long wait is over for pageant fans as the Miss Universe Philippines Organization finally announced a new date for its coronation night.
The much-anticipated finals will take place on Sept. 30 at the Henann Resort Convention Center in Panglao, Bohol, the organization said on Friday after getting the government’s approval.
“We are grateful to Governor Arthur Yap, the Bohol LGUs and tourism board, and the IATF (Inter-Agency Task Force) for allowing us to stage this year’s pageant in this most idyllic destination,” the Miss Universe Philippines said in its social media post.
The IATF also separately confirmed it has approved the request of the Miss Universe Philippines Organization to hold the pageant events in the province “subject to health and safety protocols.”
The coronation night was initially scheduled on Sept. 25, but the organization said it requested the IATF’s go signal for its “enhanced plans” for the finals.(CNN)
