PUMP prices of petroleum products are expected to have mixed movements this week.
In its fuel price forecast for the March 14 to 20 trading week, Unioil Petroleum Philippines said the price per liter of diesel may “have no price change to a rollback of P0.10.”
Gasoline prices, meanwhile, may increase by P0.80 to P1.00 per liter.
Oil companies usually announce price adjustments every Monday, to be implemented on the following day.
On Feb. 28, fuel firms implemented a per liter decrease of P0.70 for gasoline, P1.30 for diesel and P1.80 for kerosene.
The latest price adjustments resulted in a year-to-date net decrease for diesel at P2.40 per liter and kerosene at P2.30 per liter.
Gasoline has a net increase of P5.30 per liter since the beginning of the year.
Data from the Department of Energy’s (DOE) price monitoring from March 7 to 10 showed the price per liter of gasoline ranged from P58.40 to P68.55 per liter in Quezon City, Metro Manila’s largest city; diesel prices ranged from P58.68 to P67.55 per liter in Makati City, the country’s top financial hub; while in Philippine capital Manila, kerosene prices range from P70.76 to P76.70 per liter.
