BACOLOD City – The No. 1 wanted person in Moises Padilla, Negros Occidental was arrested around 9 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 5, in the town’s Barangay 7, Poblacion.
Facing parricide charges, 46-year-old Jovanie Sambilad of the town’s Barangay Quintin Remo was served with an arrest warrant issued by Judge Mila Yap-Camiso of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 74 in La Carlota City, dated Aug. 31, 2022.
Moises Padilla police said the suspect allegedly hacked his father sometime in June 2022 that resulted to the latter’s death.
Sambilad was detained in the local police station.
No bail bond was recommended for his temporary liberty.
Meanwhile, Police Regional Office 6 director Police Brigadier General Leo M. Francisco lauded the leadership of Moises Padilla Municipal Police Station for the continuous effort against wanted persons./PN
