ILOILO City – Police were hunting down a man accused of stabbing a friend in Barangay San Juan, Molo district.
Resident Jansel Deslate fled after the incident, police said, citing witnesses.
The victim – 27-year-old Ricky Castroverde of Barangay Sinikway, Lapuz – sustained a stab wound on the back.
He was confined in the Western Visayas Medical Center in Mandurriao district, a police report stated.
Deslate remained at large as of this writing, said the police.
A heated argument between them prompted Deslate to attack Castroverde at 11:20 p.m. on Wednesday, stated the police report./PN
