ILOILO City – A 31-year-old laborer landed in a hospital after he got stabbed in Barangay Baluarte, Molo district.
Jaypee Jagolino, a resident of the village, sustained a stab wound on the chest. He received treatment at the West Visayas State University Medical center in La Paz district, a police report showed.
The suspect was identified as 54-year-old Gregorio Deocampo, it added.
According to police investigation, Jagolino was walking along the road on his way home when he was stabbed by Deocampo without apparent reason. It was not immediately established what was the motive in the incident.
The suspect was arrested and now detained in the lockup cell of the Molo police station, facing charges./PN
