ILOILO City – A 52-year-old money lender was shot on Saturday night by a lone gunman in Barangay Ungka II, Pavia, Iloilo.
Ludivina Frange of Barangay Ungka II, Pavia was pronounced dead at the Western Visayas Medical Center for a gunshot wound on the lower jaw.
According to Pavia police chief, Major Rolando Araño, the shooting happened at around 7:15 p m.
Witnesses told the police that prior to the shooting, they heard Frange telling a man on a motorcycle, “Sige lang, imo lang na kwarta mo, indi ko kinahanglan kwarta mo.”
The man quickly left toward Iloilo City after the shooting. He was wearing a helmet and driving a black motorcycle.
“She had a money lending business. Based sa witnesses, kwarta ang gin baisan nila. Sa akon paglantaw wala gin plano nga patyon sya kay may altercation pa na natabo,” Araño added.
