ILOILO – A collector of a lending company was robbed in Brgy. Carmelo, Banate town.
Premrose Benedicto, 26, of Bugasong, Antique, was a collector of ASA lending company with office address in the town of Barotac Neuvo. He said three men robbed him.
At the Banate police station where he had the incident recorded, Benedicto said he was driving his service motorcycle when three suspects suddenly blocked his way.
One of the men trained a gun at him while the other took his collection amounting to P17,000.
The robbers used Benedicto’s motorcycle as their getaway vehicle.
Banate police chief, Senior Insp. Vicente Vicente said one suspect has been identified – Julian Garcia of San Rafael town.
Benedicto identified Garcia through pictures, said Vicente.
Garcia had been linked to a string of robbery cases and was once arrested for stealing a motorcycle in December 2013.
