More bonuses await NegOcc capitol employees

BACOLOD City – Over 2,000 employees of the Negros Occidental provincial government started receiving their 14th month and Christmas bonuses last week.

They are also set to get additional bonuses in December, according to Engr. Ruben Diamante, the president of Progressive Alliance of Capitol Employees (PACE).

Diamante said regular and casual employees will enjoy a performance enhancement incentive (PEI) of P5,000 and a collective negotiation agreement (CNA) bonus of P25,000 next month.

He, however, clarified that contract of service (COS) and job order (JO) employees will be entitled to gratuity pay.

Beginning Nov. 15, majority of qualified capitol employees have already received their 14th month and Christmas bonuses. But there were other workers who have yet to receive theirs and Diamante acknowledged that the delays may be attributed to missing documents.

He assured they will eventually receive their bonuses upon the submission of the required paperwork.

With a current membership of 2,216 employees, PACE oversees the welfare and benefits of the provincial government workforce. (Watchmen Daily Journal)/PN
