More convenient innovations

IT NEVER ceases to amaze me, another innovation simply just for the convenience of the customer!

Indeed folks, “I Am Iloilo City’s” sole power distribution utility, MORE Electric and Power Corporation, a.k.a. MORE Power, just came up with another innovation to reduce if not totally eliminate the usual hassles usually associated with sorting out one’s electric bills and other related stuff i.e. long queues, busy phones, etc.

Let me put it this way: one can sort out almost all your concerns with your electric bill in the comfort of your home, lounging in bed wearing your pajamas, saving you the hassle and dressing up to actually go to MORE Power office to do this.

And all you need is a smart phone, laptop, personal computer and of course an internet connection, a bespoke app and you’re all set.

So, what in the world is this bespoke app? Just recently, I was invited to attend the launching of MORE PowerUP, a mobile application downloadable through the Apple and Google Play stores, free, of course.

MORE PowerUP is a platform that typifies MORE Power’s firm commitment to customer-centric innovation, empowering customers with greater control and convenience in managing their electricity needs.

And here are the Key Features of MORE PowerUP:

* Intuitive Dashboard – Customers can enroll multiple accounts and view their latest outstanding balances with ease.

* E-Billing Enrollment – Customers can now opt-in to receive their bills electronically, eliminating the need for physical paper bills.

* Update Account – Customers can effortlessly update their account information, including changes in account holders.

* Service Application – Customers can now fill out the application for a new meter through MORE PowerUP and track the status of their applications through the platform.

* Report an Outage – One of the most important features of MORE PowerUP is the ability to report an outage. Customers can pin their exact location, eliminating the need to call the MORE Power helpline and wait in a queue to report the outage.

* Report a Pilferage – Customers can easily report any instances of electricity theft in their area, with a feature that ensures the confidentiality of the informant.

* Report a Concern – Customers can log and track the resolution of any electrical-related issues they encounter.

* Book an Appointment – Customers can schedule an appointment with MORE Power at their convenience.

* Appliance Calculator – Customers can estimate their electricity consumption by inputting their household appliances and usage patterns.

MORE PowerUP users can also receive notifications whenever there are announcements and power advisories.

Take note that, MORE Power’s mission has always centered around enhancing customer experience and making essential services more accessible. The launch of MORE PowerUP exemplifies this mission, ensuring customers have easy access to bills, payments, and critical information, while improving operational efficiency and data security.

According to MORE Power VP for Customer Care Maricris Cabalhin, “this approach is rooted in our mission to make the customer experience easy and convenient, by leveraging cutting-edge technology and a deep understanding of customer needs, MORE Power is poised to redefine the way customers interact with their electricity services, delivering a seamless and empowering experience that truly brings MORE to Life.”

And from MORE Power President/CEO Roel Castro: “At MORE Power, we’re all about making it easier for you. We’ve built on this foundation to create experiences that make a real difference in the lives of our customers. We’re glad to announce that customers can now experience convenience at its full potential. Today, we’re giving you the first access to experience an easy life with MORE PowerUP.”

Definitely a very far cry from that defunct “what’s its name” former power provider utility of “I Am Iloilo City” whose only reason for being is to bleed the natives dry with exorbitant power rates.

MORE Power, indeed an indispensable partner for Iloilo City’s development./PN
