BACOLOD City – Negros Occidental’s bulk water project has gained the interest of 43 firms.
Representatives from these firms attended the investor conference organized by the provincial government on Aug. 10 in partnership with the Public-Private Partnership Center, the Asian Development Bank, and USAID.
Twenty-eight individuals representing 17 companies physically attended the conference, while 69 individuals representing 26 other companies participated online.
Among the top companies in attendance were Aboitiz Construction Inc., D.M. Consunji Inc., Makati Development Corporation, and Sta. Clara International Corp.
Also in attendance were financial institutions such as RCPC Capital Corp., Union Bank of the Philippines, Development Bank of the Philippines, China Bank, and China Banking Corp.
Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson said the provincial government would invest P1.2 billion into the bulk water project to ensure sufficient supply and affordable rates for Negrenses. (Watchmen Daily Journal)
