BORACAY β An augmentation team from the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) helps keep this island peaceful and orderly this holiday season.

Malay, Aklan chief of police Lieutenant Colonel Don Dicksie De Dios said the augmentation force provide assistance and security to tourists and residents. They also make sure that people observe pandemic health and safety protocols.
With the influx of domestic tourists, simulation drills were conducted to assess the capability and readiness of the police force in the island.
Police also enhance inter-unit coordination with the Philippine Coast Guard, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and Maritime Police.
De Dios reminded tourists and residents to observe the health protocols.
βAng pandemya nandito pa sa atin, not complacent tayo sa ganitong sitwasyon. We are also reminding business establishments to follow the health guidelines. Walang bar operations sa ngayon para maiwasan ang virus super spreader events,β he said.
The shortened curfew hours in the island is still being imposed from 1 a.m. to 3 a.m.
Violators of curfew hours and non-wearing of facemasks are penalized with a fine of P2,500.
