ILOILO City – In a heartfelt ceremony marking its 5th anniversary of operation in Iloilo City, MORE Electric and Power Corporation (MORE Power) recognized the dedication and hard work of its employees, highlighting their instrumental role in transforming the city’s power landscape.

The company gathered over 200 regular employees, including over 150 “pioneers” who have been with MORE Power for five years, for a special appreciation event.
The celebration served as a testament to the remarkable progress achieved by MORE Power in a relatively short time, a journey made possible by the unwavering commitment of its dedicated workforce.
MORE Power President and CEO Roel Castro, in his address to the employees, expressed profound gratitude for their dedication and belief in the company’s mission. “Your batch has endured and has stayed with the company not because you just want work but because you believe in the company, you believe in the mission, that’s why you’ve stayed,” Castro said.
He emphasized that the company’s success was a joint effort, with employees playing a crucial role in transforming power services for Iloilo City consumers.
“We have already pumped in another 2 Billion pesos in 5 years to ensure that the infrastructure, the facilities, and all the hardwares will be state of the art. That is only half of the story. The other half of the story is kayo,” Castro said, acknowledging the hard work and dedication of the employees.
Castro acknowledged the challenges faced by the employees, particularly those working in the field, often facing difficult conditions and demanding schedules.
“I know that our work is not easy. Ulan, init umaga, gabi, overtime, may mga problema, may trials, but you’re still here. Again, I congratulate all of you,” he added.
In just five years, MORE Power has significantly improved the city’s power distribution network, reducing power interruptions, minimizing system loss, and eliminating illegal connections. The company also boasts the lowest electricity rates in Western Visayas.
“We give the consumers the best service, and for me, dalawa lang iyon. One is we give them reliable, walang outages, mura na kuryente, and two; we treat them as our best client that we could have,” Castro stated, highlighting the company’s commitment to providing reliable and affordable power while treating customers with utmost respect.
MORE Power’s achievements in Iloilo City have set a new benchmark for customer service excellence in the power industry.
This remarkable transformation was made possible by the dedication and hard work of the company’s employees, who have played a vital role in shaping MORE Power’s success and expansion into other areas./PN
