ILOILO CITY – MORE Electric and Power Corporation (MORE Power), the city’s sole power distributor, switched on giant Christmas trees for the Ilonggos to enjoy this holiday season.
The Unity Christmas Tree in Plaza Libertad and Harmony Christmas Tree in Molo Plaza are testaments to MORE Power’s commitment as Iloilo City’s partner in development and in making the lives of llonggos brighter this Christmas season.
“With all your support and understanding, MORE Power is committed more than ever to be a partner of the city in going to the next level,” said MORE Power president Roel Castro.

“The lights and stars that we see are symbols of hope. There is hope for something better to come. MORE Power is here to provide light – a light of hope for a better Iloilo City,” Castro stressed.
The Christmas trees showcased MORE Power’s upcycling initiative and commitment to environmental stewardship aligned with Iloilo City’s goal to be livable and sustainable.
MORE Power upcycled old electric meters, utilized discarded aluminum wires as gift boxes and other scrap materials for the foundation of the Christmas trees.
Aside from the Christmas trees, businessman Andy Go and family also sponsored the lightings of the façade of the San Jose de Placer Parish.
MORE Power giant Christmas trees compliment the glow of public plazas.
