ANTIQUE – More than 179,000 individuals in the province of Antique are still unvaccinated.
According to Antique Provincial Health Office (APHO) data as of March 20, there are 179,672 individuals were unvaccinated or had not received any first dose.
Here is a breakdown of 179,672 individuals unvaccinated per town: Anini-y (4,815), Barbaza (7,523), Belison (5,021), Bugasong (13,390), Caluya (7,220), Culasi (13,217), Hamtic (20,266), Laua- an (9,970), Libertad (5,323), Patnongon (9,403), San Jose (-2,607), San Remigio (15,961), Sebaste (3,844), Sibalom (22,356), Tibiao (9,919), Tobias Fornier (9,277), and Valderrama (7,195).
As a result, APHO continues its campaign to vaccinate ages 12 to 17 years old, and 18 years and above to go to their respective Rural Health Units (RHUs) or vaccination sites designated by their local government unit.
Meanwhile, as of March 20, 297,671 individuals or 60 percent of the total target population of 498,263 individuals have been fully vaccinated.
Here is a breakdown of 297,671 individuals fully vaccinated per town: Aniniy (12,608), Barbaza (11,282), Belison (6,261), Bugasong (14,471), Caluya (20,072), Culasi (20,803), Hamtic (20,887), Lau-an (11,616), Libertad (8,231), Pandan (19,210), Patnongon (13,589), San Jose (51,441), San Remigio (10,198), Sebaste (10,794), Sibalom (27,065), Tibiao (11,711), Tobias Fornier (19,072 ), and Valderrama (8,360).
According to Gov. Rhodora Cadiao, it is important to increase the province’s accomplishment for fully vaccinated individuals to 70 to 80 percent to reach the Alert Level 1.
As of now, Antique remains at Alert Level 2 also due to its low vaccination accomplishment.
Based on the new metrics, some conditions would qualify an area to be de-escalated to alert level 1.
* Minimal to low-risk classification
* Total bed utilization rate is less than 50 percent
* 70 percent of the areas target population has been fully vaccinated
* 80 percent of the area’s target A2 population has been fully vaccinated./PN
