ANTIQUE – The 1,437 senior citizens of Sebaste, Antique received a social pension for the first quarter of 2022 or from January to March last week. Each senior citizen receives P1,500 or P500 per month.
According to Mayor Gaseva V. Recopuerto, the P1,500 will be a big help to senior citizens to buy their daily necessities.
“Our 1437 senior citizens in our town are very happy that they received their social pension in the first quarter of this year in the amount of P1,500 which is very much in aid for their daily needs. , ”part of Gaseva’s statement.
The social pensions for 1,437 senior citizens are part of the national government’s program through the Department of Social Welfare and Development to assist the elderly who are no longer able to work.
For the remaining senior citizens of Sebaste who have not yet entered or registered in the program, Gaseva asked for understanding after the Municipal Social Welfare and Development (MSWDO) is still ongoing to process the documents to bring them to the list.
“For those who have not yet entered this program and are new potential senior citizens, our MSWD office will continue to take care of your needs so that everyone can be signed up for this social pension from the national government, ”added Gaseva./PN
