BACOLOD City – This city and the provincial government of Negros Occidental yesterday received an additional shipment of CoronaVac coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccines made by Chinese firm Sinovac.
The vaccines arrived via a Cebu Pacific Air flight from Manila. The batch contained a total of 6,000 vials, which were then divided into half for the city and province.
The provincial government is eyeing to vaccinate capitol employees using the newly-acquired jabs by Thursday.
Bacolod, meanwhile, is expected to use the CoronaVac vaccines, alongside AstraZeneca, on priority populations in various vaccination sites in the city./PN
