ILOILO – A 17-year-old girl driver died while her backrider was injured after their motorcycle rammed a concrete post in Barangay Guiso, Calinog town.
Alias “Pauline,” a resident of Barangay Man-it, Passi City, sustained fatal head injuries. She was declared dead on arrival at Calinog District Hospital.
Backrider alias “Niña,” 21, of Barangay Libot, Calinog, suffered left leg and right shoulder injuries and was brought to the same hospital.
According to the investigation of the Calinog Municipal Police Station, the victims were on their way to Passi City from Calinog when they figured in an accident around 4 p.m. on Tuesday, June 25.
Witnesses told the police the motorcycle was speeding and the victims were not wearing helmets./PN
