ILOILO City – In Barangay Dawis, Pototan, Iloilo, a motorcycle crashed against a truck.
The 23-year-old motorcycle driver Noeme Barreto II and his back rider ZJ Mabuyao, 23, died.
Barreto and Mabuyao – both residents of Barotac Veijo, Iloilo – sustained severe head and body injuries.
Police report showed the incident happened at around 10:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 30.
The victims were traversing the national highway in Barangay Dawis when they crashed against a truck driven by Melvin Buenacasa, 41, of Barangay Paga, San Enrique, Iloilo.
It was, however, unclear what circumstance led to the collision.
The victims were rushed to the Iloilo Provincial Hospital in Pototan where the attending physician declared them “dead on arrival.”
Buenacasa, meanwhile, was taken to the Pototan police station, facing charges./PN
