ROXAS City – A man was killed after the motorcycle he was driving crashed against a passenger bus on the national highway in Barangay Poblacion, Tapaz, Capiz.
The 65-year-old resident Jose Glumali sustained head injuries and was rushed to the Tapaz District Hospital where attending physician Dr. Jose Reynaldo Sucgang pronounced him “dead on arrival.”
The crash happened around 3:40 p.m. on Sunday, a police report showed.
Glumali was navigating a curve when his Haojue Lucky motorcycle hit the bus driven by the 44-year-old Federico Ostaga of Barangay Rizal Ilawod, Calinog, Iloilo.
Ostaga fled after the crash and later surrendered to the Calinog municipal police station.
The motorcycle and the bus were now under the custody of the Tapaz municipal police station.
Their cost of damage was still estimated as of this writing./PN
