ILOILO – Two men were hit by a motorcycle in Barangay Gines, Zarraga town around 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 2.
The 19-year-old Reynen Pedroso of Saint Ville Subdivision in the town’s Brgy. Poblacion Ilaud, and Mark Jelon Penida sustained injuries.
The motorcycle driver was Julius Eslabon of Brgy. Nanga, Pototan.
According to Penida, he and Pedroso were walking from the town proper to the cemetery in Brgy. Gines when they were suddenly hit by the motorcycle.
Eslabon also sustained injuries. He fell from his motorcycle.
A rescue team from the Zarraga Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office gave the men first aid.
According to the Zarraga police station, Eslabon was under the influence of intoxicating liquor./PN
