BACOLOD City – A motorcycle crashed against the rear of a sugarcane cargo truck parked along a national highway in Purok Masulhay, Barangay Ma-ao, Bago City, Negros Occidental.
The motorcycle driver – James Palermo Epogon, 20, of Purok Malipayon, Barangay Atipuluan, Bago City – died, police said.
His back rider was injured. Rodel Meneses Canete, 19, of the same village where Epogon lived was taken to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital in this city.
Police said the crash happened at around 8:50 p.m. Thursday.
Epogon was driving without a driver’s license, said the police.
The Isuzu truck was driven by Ronald Peñaflor Alvarico.
Police took the 35-year-old resident of Purok Bantolinao, Barangay Ma-ao in custody./PN
