ILOILO City – Crossing the road turned fatal for a woman in Barangay Hubao-an, Mandurriao district.
The 59-year-old Mary Jane Jacar died while receiving treatment for her head injuries at the Western Visayas Medical Center also in Mandurriao.
According to the police, Jacar was crossing the road around 6:45 a.m. on Saturday when a motorcycle hit her.
The motorcycle driver was identified as Genel Eric Alcallaga of Barangay Consolacion, San Miguel, Iloilo.
Alcallaga also sustained body injuries. He was currently being treated at the Western Visayas Medical Center.
Police said Alcallaga was under hospital arrest./PN
